Saint Joseph's women's soccer team picked up its first home win of the year with a 1-0 victory over Stony Brook on Sunday. Junior Morgan Bower tallied the game-winning goal in the 12th minute and rookie goalkeeper Emily Cuccio made three saves for her first collegiate shutout as the Hawks improved to 2-1-1 on the season.

Morgan Bower scored the game-winning goal, and her first goal of the season, on a shot over the goalkeeper's head from inside the box at 11:45.

Postgame Chatter
I think the play was one thing that we've really worked on in practice...trying to find our forwards' feet and connecting midfield to forward. I think Gab Vagnozzi did a really good job just trying to get that ball through and it all helped it get together," Bower said of her goal.
