• Freshman Taylor Funk ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in three-point field goals made per game (3.08) and is 44th in the nation
• Phil Martelli has the most conference wins (202) of any active coach in the A-10
• Taylor Funk will make the start tonight in place of Anthony Longpré; the freshman also started the St. John’s game

CLOSING IN
• James Demery now has 995 career points and is looking to become the 54th player in Hawk history to reach 1,000 points

FAMILY REUNION
• There will be three Martelli’s on the sideline this evening, with Phil and Phil, Jr., on the SJU bench, and Jimmy on VCU’s side
• Phil, Jr., joined the Hawks’ staff this season as the director of program administration, and is the oldest son of the Hawks’ head coach
• Jimmy is in his first season with the Rams as the director of operations

BROWN UPDATE
• Charlie Brown, Jr., will be sidelined at least three more weeks due to the fractured left wrist he suffered in October. The scaphoid bone, which Brown fractured, normally requires three months or more in a cast when broken - he underwent surgical fixation (Oct. 24) in hopes of shortening the recovery time
• After new imaging studies and a follow-up examination last week, it was determined that the bone continues to be slow in healing and Brown will remain in a cast; He will undergo a C/T scan in three weeks to determine if sufficient progress has been made toward receiving clearance to play

CHANGING IT UP
• Freshman Taylor Funk will replace Anthony Longpré in the starting lineup tonight
• It will be his second start of the year - he also started the St. John’s game

NEXT UP
• Jan. 6 vs. St. Bonaventure, 8 p.m., ESPNU
• Jan. 10 at George Mason, 7 p.m., A-10 Network
