The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team returns to action this week with an Atlantic 10 home match versus George Washington and a road game at Rhode Island. The Hawks and Colonials will kickoff at 7 p.m. at Sweeney Field in an ESPN+ streamed match on Thursday, with SJU heading to the Rams at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

 The Hawks enter Thursday ranked sixth in this week's United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll after being ranked ninth the previous week. This week also marks the eighth straight week SJU has made an appearance in the regional poll.
• Saint Joseph's is currently 9-4-2 on the season and are tied for fifth in the A-10 at 4-2-0 (12 points).
• The Hawks are coming off a pair of wins last week in conference play as they topped George Mason, 4-1, last Thursday and downed VCU, 2-0, on Sunday.
• Senior goalkeeper Grace Bendon,  who was named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, boasts a 0.91 goals-against average and has made 52 saves on the year.
• On the offensive side, seniors Hannah Racis and Dakota Mills and freshman Aleksa Peev are tied for the lead in goals (four), while Racis leads the squad in points (10).
• Senior Paige Bergman has paced SJU with a team-best five assists.

• George Washington enters Thursday tied with the Hawks and George Mason for fifth in the A-10 at 4-2-0.
• The Colonials are coming off a 4-1 win over Richmond on Sunday and have won three straight.
• On offense, senior Sofia Pavon leads George Washington in goals (five), assists (four) and points (14).
• Senior Anna Tapen has seen the majority of the minutes in goal for the Colonials and is 7-4-1 with a 1.12 goals-against-average.

• Rhode Island is coming off a 4-1 loss to La Salle and are looking for its first win of the season.
• The Rams open the week at home versus St. Bonaventure on Thursday before welcoming the Hawks on Sunday.
• Sophomore Brooke Omanski leads the Rams offense in goals (three) and points (six), while rookie Rebecca D'Anna has recorded a team-best three assists.
• In net, redshirt junior Haley Brenan has posted a team-best 2.15 goals-against-average and 76 saves.
