The Hawks are 4-0-1 at home this season with 17 goals scored and just five goals conceded in wins over Quinnipiac, 4-2, Sacred Heart, 4-1, Navy, 2-0, and VMI, 5-0 and, most recently, a draw with La Salle, 2-2, on Wednesday evening.

Sophomore midfielder Alvin Dahn leads the Hawks in scoring with 17 points on a team-high six goals and a team-high five assists while sophomore midfielder Ritchie Barry (4g, 3a) and junior forward Leon Maric (5g) have also recorded double-digit points for the Crimson and Gray. Freshman forward Frantz Pierrot (3g, 1a), senior midfielder Derek MacKinnon (2g, 2a), and sophomore midfielder Alan Kahlenbeck (1g, 3a) have also been contributing factors on the offensive end.

Defensively, senior Eddie McCusker, redshirt junior Mike Fornaro, and sophomores David Grana and Daniel Morales have anchored SJU's back line as all four have started all 11 matches, holding the opposition to 1.27 goals per outting, with three clean sheets. Freshman goalkeeper Joseph Boehm (6-3-2, 0-0-2 A-10) sports a 1.25 goals against average and .767 saves percentage with 46 saves vs. just 14 goals allowed in 1010:13; coming off of a performance for which he was tabbed the A-10's Co-Rookie of the Week, Boehm made a career-high 13 saves to backstop the Hawks to a 2-2 road draw in the A-10 opener at Duquesne last Saturday and went on to make five saves last time out against La Salle.

Fordham kicked off the season on a five-match unbeaten streak, defeating Holy Cross, 2-1, then-RV Wisconsin, 1-0 (2OT), and Northwestern, 3-2 (OT) before drawing on the road with Bryant, 1-1, and Marist, 1-1. The Rams then dropped their only contest of the year at Manhattan, 1-0, on September 18 before bouncing back with back-to-back wins over Columbia, 1-0, and Rhode Island, 4-2, the latter of which came as their A-10 victory. Fordham is coming in off of a scoreless draw vs. Stony Brook, which closed out a four-match homestand, on Tuesday evening; Rashid Nuhu made five saves in the full-match effort.

All-10 Preseason All-Conference forward Janos Loebe sports a team-best 14 points on three goals and eight assists, factoring into 11 of Fordham's 13 goals on the year, while A-10 Preseason All-Conference defender Joergen Oland leads the Rams in goals (4). A-10 Preseason All-Conference goalkeeper Nuhu (4-1-3, 1-0-0 A-10) sports a 0.81 goals against average and .811 save percentage with 30 saves vs. just seven goals allowed through 776:54.

The Rams, predicted to win the A-10 title (in a field of 13 teams), went 14-6-3 overall and 5-2-1 in conference play last fall, reaching the A-10 semifinals and advancing all the way to the NCAA Championship quarterfinals, picking up wins against St. Francis Brooklyn and then-#11 Virginia and advancing on PKs against then-#6 Duke before bowing out to then-#3 North Carolina.

Saturday's match will mark the 20th all-time meeting between Saint Joseph's and Fordham, with the Rams owning a 12-5-2 advantage. Fordham has won the last two meetings, on the road in 2014 and 2017, but SJU came away with a 1-0 victory on November 10, 2013 in the Bronx; Tim Lazorko scored the match-winner in the 23rd minute in a win that would go on to qualify the Hawks for the 2013 postseason for the first time since 1994.
