PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph’s junior Tim Brennan added another weekly award to his mantle as he was named the Philadelphia Big 5 Baseball Pitcher of the Week late Tuesday.

Brennan tossed six and two-thirds innings in relief of graduate student Ryan Kelly, who made the start in his final appearance as a Hawk.  Brennan allowed three runs on six hits while striking out nine and not allowing a walk as the Hawks defeated Massachusetts, 6-4, in the season finale for both teams.

The Philadelphia native ended the season 9-3 with a 2.94 earned run average, 84 strikeouts, and just five walks.  Brennan leads all of Division I in both strikeout-to-walk ratio and fewest walks per nine innings and was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team earlier Tuesday.
