Balanced between 10 home and 10 roads games, the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team will face a strong slate in the fall that includes four matches against NCAA Tournament teams, as the Hawks announced their 2018 schedule on Wednesday.

Saint Joseph's opens the season at Temple on August 17 before returning to Sweeney Field for its home opener against Lehigh on August 19.

The Hawks return to the road for three-straight starting at Big 10 power Rutgers on August 23. Following an August 26 match at James Madison, Saint Joseph's heads to NCAA quarterfinalist Princeton on August 30.

Hawk Hill will play host to the next five games for SJU as it wraps up nonconference play versus Drexel (Sept. 6), reigning Patriot League champs Bucknell (Sept. 9), Villanova (Sept. 13) and Cornell (Sept. 16).

In a rematch of last year's Atlantic 10 Championship opening round matchup, the Hawks host Saint Louis on September 20 to open conference play. A road game at reigning A-10 champs La Salle (Sept. 23) is followed by a home game versus Richmond (Sept. 30) and road contests at Dayton (Sept. 30) and George Mason (Oct. 4).

Saint Joseph's hosts VCU (Oct. 7) and George Washington (Oct. 11) before finishing up its road slate at Rhode Island (Oct. 14) and at Fordham (Oct. 18).

The Hawks wrap up the regular season at home versus St. Bonaventure on Sunday, October 21 with a 1 p.m. contest.

For the second-straight year, the A-10 Championship opening rounds will be held on the campus of the higher seeds. With matches set for October 26 and 27, the four winning teams will then advance to play at Dayton's Baujan Field in the semifinals on November 2. The championship finale is set for November 4 with the winner earning the A-10’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Saint Joseph's will return nine starters from last year's team that went 11-6-3 and advanced to the semifinals of the A-10 Championship.
