Saint Joseph’s forward Charlie Brown, Jr., will be sidelined for a few weeks after sustaining a fracture in his left wrist in practice last week.

The 6-7 sophomore underwent surgery on October 24 to repair the fracture. He will begin rehab immediately but his return date to practice is yet to be determined.

Brown enters the season as a 2017 Preseason All-Atlantic 10 Third Team selection. As a freshman he earned A-10 All-Rookie honors, averaging12.8 points per game and topping the Hawks in three-point field goals with 71.

The Hawks, picked third in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, open the year with a pair of back-to-back road games, tipping off at Toledo on November 11. SJU will then travel to Illinois at Chicago on November 13 before hosting Princeton in the home opener on November 18.
