PHILADELPHIA - Even though its season ended in November, the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team has been very active. The Hawks have volunteered to help coach a Lower Merion Soccer Club Under-8 team, as well as raising money for SJU's trip to Brazil this March.

Starting this past fall, the Hawks began running a weekly training session for a Lower Merion Under-8 team, helping the girls develop their soccer skills. Each Monday, two different Saint Joseph's players assisted in running a practice, allowing the young girls a chance to improve their techniques and ask questions about the collegiate game.

Outside of coaching, the Hawks have also been working towards their trip to Brazil this March. Saint Joseph's has team with Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC) to work all the Eagles games, with money raised going towards the team's trip, where they plan to train and play against local teams. Working every game at Lincoln Financial Field, the Hawks perform tasks varying from checking people at the gate, to giving directions, to watching over the various suites.
