Hawk Golfers 11th After First Day of Big 5 Classic

PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's golf team is in 11th place after shooting 311 in Saturday's opening round of the Big 5 Classic at the Philadelphia Cricket Club.

Individually, junior Steve Hudacek led the Hawks with a 76 today to tie for 24th, while sophomore Zach Smith shot a 77 and is tied for 31st. Senior Colin Corrigan and freshman Jim Ridgeway are tied for 49th after posting scores of 79, while senior Bob Cunningham rounded out the five-man squad with a score of 87.

Seton Hall holds the team lead after shooting 82, while Seton Hall's John Zur shot a 67 to hold the individual lead.

Final round begins Sunday at 9 a.m.
