Hawks Tie for 20th at Virginia Cavalier Golf Classic

CHARLOTTESVILLE, PA - The Saint Joseph's golf team tied for 20th place at this weekend's University of Virginia Cavalier Classic. Senior Colin Corrigan paced the Hawks with a two-round score of 72-77/149 to finished tied for 24th place.

As a team, the Hawks posted a two-round score of 310-318/628 at the storm-interrupted Cavalier Classic.

Individually, Corrigan tied for 24th, while sophomore Bill Macknis, 77-76/153, tied for 51st. Freshman Josh Webb carded a two-round score of 78-82/160, while sophomore Zach Smith shot 83-84/167. Freshman Jim Ridgway rounded out the five-man squad with a score of 88-83/171.

The University of Virginia won the team title (575), while Augusta State's Henrik Norlander won medalist honors with a score of 139.

Saint Joseph's caps its season next weekend at the Atlantic 10 Championship.
