Pittsburgh, PA (10/29/00) - Duquesne's Abbie Burns tallied the lone goal of the game in the 70th minute as the Dukes downed St. Joseph's, 1-0, in the season finale for both teams. The Hawks are most likely glad to put this season to rest. Injuries and lack of offense plagued the SJU contingent throughout the year. SJU was held scoreless six times on the year, including the last three contests. Freshman Alicia Kornicki made her first collegiate start in goal for the Hawks against Duquesne, registering three saves before giving way to sophomore Christy Ganc (six saves). Duquesne outshot SJU, 18-8, on the day while Duke goalie Michelle Guna stopped all four shots for the shutout
