Saint Joseph's In 12th After Opening Round of Georgetown Invitational

BEALSVILLE, MD - The Saint Joseph's golf team posted a score of 314 in the opening round of the Georgetown Invitational at the par-71 Members Club at Four Streams Monday afternoon. The Hawks stand in 12th place at the 54-hole tournament.

Individually for Saint Joseph's, senior Colin Corrigan is tied for 34th after shooting 76, while sophomore Zach Smith finished a stroke behind (77) and is tied for 38th. Hawks' freshman Josh Webb tied for 40th at 78 and classmate Jim Ridgeway is currently 60th after shooting 83. Senior Bob Cunningham rounded out Saint Joseph's five-man squad with a score of 92.

DePaul currently is in first by seven strokes over St. John's after posting a score of five-under-par 279. DePaul's Matt McMahon, Cory Blenkush and St. John's Keegan Bradley are tied for the individual lead at 69.

The final day of play begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
