Golf Team in 10th Place After First Day of Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Saint Joseph's golf team is in 10th place after the opening day at the Princeton Invitational. Individually, senior Josh Webb led the way and heads into Sunday tied for 11th.

As a team, the Hawks shot 304-301/605 to finish the day in 10th place in the 12-team field. Yale holds the team lead at 565, while SJU is just 10 strokes behind fifth-place Cornell.

Webb carded a two-round score of 76-68/144 to finish the day tied for 11th. Junior Jimmy Bea shot 76-75/151, while Andrew Jaskel finished a shot behind at 74-78/152. Senior Jim Ridgway posted a score of 78-80/158, while Patrick Devlin rounded out the squad at 80-80/160.

Final round begins Sunday at 8 a.m.
