CAMDEN, N.J. - Team Crimson broke open a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning of a decisive Game 3 to take home the 2011 Crimson and Gray World Series crown on Sunday afternoon at Campbell's Field. The win came after Gray Squad knotted the series at a game apiece with an 8-1 victory in the first of two games played on Sunday.

Due to the winter storm that swept through the Philadelphia region this weekend, Saturday's Game 2 was pushed back to Sunday; the teams played a pair of six-inning contests to settle the second annual intra-squad championship.

In Game 2, Mike Brown, Stefan Kancylarz, and Brian O'Keefe each notched a pair of hits to lead Gray Squad past Team Crimson, 8-1, to tie the best-of-three series. Alex Pracher stood tall on the mound for Gray Squad, tossing three no-hit innings in his first start in a Saint Joseph's uniform.

Team Crimson bounced back in Game 3, riding a sacrifice fly by Anthony Cirillo and a single by Greg Kumpel to a fifth-inning rally that secured the title with a 6-2 win.

With the series victory, Team Crimson avenged its defeat to Gray Squad in the 2010 Series.
