POWELLS POINT, N.C. - The Saint Joseph's golf team is in 18th place after the opening round of the Old Dominion/Seascape Invitational Sunday afternoon at the Kilmarlic Golf Club.

As a team, the Hawks shot 306, with East Carolina holding the team lead at 270.

Individually, Jimmy Bea led the way, shooting 73, with senior Josh Webb a stroke behind at 74. Senior Jim Ridgway fired a round of 79, as Andrew Jaskel and Kyle Jeziorski rounded out the five-man squad with rounds of 80 and 84, respectively.

Max McKay of Liberty and Harold Varner of East Carolina are tied for the individual lead at 65.
