Hawk Golfers Open Spring Season at Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate

Hilton Head, S.C. - The Saint Joseph's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule Monday at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate. The Hawks carded a two-round score of 332-331/663 and enter Tuesday's final round in 16th place.

Individually, senior Steve Hudacek paced Saint Joseph's with a score of 84-79/163, while freshman Jimmy Bea carded a two-round score of 81-84/165. Junior Zach Smith shot 81-85/166, while sophomore Josh Webb posted a score of 86-86/172. Sophomore Eric Mitchell rounded out the five-mane squad with a score of 90-83/173.

South Carolina-Aiken leads the tournament heading into Tuesday's final round with a score of 591.
