ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Saint Joseph's golf team jumped two spot to finish seventh at the Navy Spring Invitational, while senior Josh Webb tied for fourth to lead the five-man squad.
The Hawks, who entered Sunday in ninth place, posted the fourth-best round on the day (296), to finish in seventh place in the 18-team field at 318-296/614. Saint Joseph's finished just four strokes behind third-place Lafayette (610), while TCU claimed the team title by 11 strokes at 586.
Webb, who entered the day tied for fourth, carded an even-par 71 to finish with a score of 75-71/146 to finish tied for fourth. Jimmy Bea placed 21st at 80-73/153, while Jim Ridgway carded a score of 82-77/159 to finish tied for 48th. Freshman Kyle Jeziorski bounced back with a 75 today to finish at 86-75/161, tying for 62nd. Andrew Jaskel rounded out the squad at 81-85/166.
Navy's Ben Hayes won his third-straight medalist title at this event, finishing at 75-69/144.
