PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's golf team posted a 312 in Sunday's final round of the Big 5 Classic to finish in 12th place with a two-round score of 311-312/623.
Competing at the Philadelphia Cricket Club, Saint Joseph's senior Colin Corrigan and junior Steve Hudacek each tied for 30th place individually at 154. Corrigan shot a 75 in today's final round to combine with a 79 on Saturday, while Hudacek posted scored of 76 and 78. Hawks' sophomore Zach Smith tied for 36th with a score of 77-78/156, while freshman Jim Ridgeway tied for 56th after shooting 79-81/160. Senior Bob Cunningham rounded out Saint Joseph's five-man squad with a score of 87-82/167 to finish in 74th.
Cornell won the 15-team tournament title after shooting a two-round score of 595, while Penn won the city title with a score of 612. George Mason's J.J. Amoruso earned medalist honors after shooting 71-71/142.
Saint Joseph's returns to action next Monday and Tuesday, October 22-23, at the Georgetown Invitational.
