Joe Lunardi enters his 25th season on the Saint Joseph’s Sports Network (SJSN) as color analyst and has served as the co-host of Phil Martelli’s HawkTalk, both on radio and television. He has covered over 950 Hawk games in his career.
In 2012, Lunardi was promoted to associate vice president for marketing and communications at Saint Joseph's after six years as assistant vice president. He has managed SJU's brand initiatives for the past decade and played a key role in launching the University’s award-winning “Magis” campaign two years ago.
A 1982 graduate of Saint Joseph's, Lunardi returned to his alma mater in 1987 as director of media relations. He has also served as director of external relations, director of university communications, and assistant vice president for university communications.
Away from the University, Lunardi is the nationally-known "Bracketologist" for ESPN, ESPN Radio, and ESPN.com. His ESPN.com bracketology site generates over 10 million hits per season. He correctly forecast 67 of 68 NCAA Tournament teams last season, including Saint Joseph’s.
In 1995 and 2004, Lunardi received the William J. Bennett Award for dedication and loyalty to the SJU men's basketball program. Lunardi and his wife, Pam, a 1984 SJU graduate, reside in Drexel Hill, Pa., and have two daughters, Emily and Elizabeth.
