This offseason, the Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse program will individually introduce its 13 newest Hawks. With the departure of nine letterwinners, including a trio of starters, from last year’s team, this incoming group comprised of six attackers, four midfielders, two defenders, and a goalkeeper will add to a Hawks squad that is coming off of a program-record, 11-win season, which was capped by a run at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament, and will play under the direction of fourth-year head coach Alex Kahoe.

#1 Emma Murphy A 5-2 Holbrook, N.Y. Sachem North • Business Administration
Murphy was a 2017 All-Division and All-Tournament attacker who led Sachem North High School to a 12-4 record as the team’s leading goal scorer as a senior captain. The Holbrook, New York native earned four varsity letters at Sachem North and played club lacrosse for the Long Island Top Guns Lacrosse Club. A three-sport athlete at Sachem North, Murphy also lettered in both tennis and field hockey. Lacrosse runs in the family as Murphy’s one brother played at NYIT and other brother currently plays at Manhattan.
