PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse team (0-3) will face its first unranked opponent of the season as the Hawks face St. John's (0-3) this Wednesday, March 1. Opening face-off at DaSilva Memorial Field in Queens, N.Y. is slated for 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday’s game will mark the second all-time meeting between Saint Joseph’s and St. John’s, and the first to be played away from Sweeney Field. Paced by four-goal efforts from Kevin Reidinger and Chris Blewitt and backed by 12 saves from T.J. Jones, the Hawks defeated the Red Storm, 16-8, on March 2 of last season.

Saint Joseph's enters Saturday's game coming off of a 16-3 loss at #18/16 Duke on Saturday afternoon where, for the third consecutive game, Reidinger scored twice. Reidinger leads the Hawks in scoring (6g) while Jones has totaled 34 saves throughout his first three games.

St. John's is 0-3 after opening the season with losses to then-#16/19 Rutgers, 16-8, Stony Brook, 14-5, and, most recently, High Point, 15-6, this past Saturday. Nick Heller (3g, 2a) and Joe Madsen (2g, 3a) lead the Red Storm in points while Daniel Costa (0-3) has made 35 stops in net.
