Thank you to the hundreds of alumni, parents, fans and friends, who were game changers for Saint Joseph’s University Athletics during #OneDaySJU. Collectively, more than 1,800 gifts were made to SJU’s varsity teams through the Hawk Athletic Fund during the Challenge, which ran from March 15 through April 10. The donations totaled in excess of $183,000 which will directly impact the success of the Hawks’ student-athletes.

“It was a record-setting day to celebrate and remember for the Hawks,” stated Director of Athletics Don DiJulia. “The competitive nature of our teams really shined through and made #OneDaySJU a tremendous success. We’re grateful for all of the support and to everyone who participated. On and off the field, in and out of the classroom, your commitment is instrumental in our ability to develop everyday champions.”

Congratulations to Women’s Lacrosse for winning the varsity team challenge for the most unique donors to their program with 398 and to Women’s Soccer for winning the challenge for the team with the highest percentage of former players making a donation to its program with 36%.

Finally, thank you to the generosity of Evelyn and Anthony Carfagno ’60, who provided two $5,000 challenge contributions for the winning teams, which will be used at the discretion of each team’s head coach to impact their players and program.
