One of the most prolific shooters in program history, Amra Mehmedic '04 will be inducted into the Saint Joseph's University Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in conjunction with the team's 43rd Annual Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 10, at Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
Leading SJU to three postseason appearances during her four seasons on Hawk Hill, Mehmedic established herself as one of the premier three-point threats in program history. Tied for the Hawks' program record in three-pointers (256), and ranking first in attempts (730), the Zenica, Bosnia native capped her career with 1,054 points (22nd all-time) as she helped Saint Joseph's advance to the quarterfinals of the 2004 Postseason WNIT her senior season. Garnering Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors during her first season, Mehmedic also proved to be a standout in the classroom as she was awarded Academic All-District Second Team recognition as a junior. Following graduation, Mehmedic continued her playing career professionally in Bulgaria.
