NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The 2019 Saint Joseph’s women’s cross country team has been predicted to finish 10th in a field of 14 squads at this year’s Atlantic 10 Women’s Cross Country Championship, according to the conference’s preseason poll released on Friday afternoon. Voting was conducted by the league’s 14 head coaches.

Saint Joseph’s has finished 10th at A-10s over the last two seasons. The Hawks return three of their top five point scorers from 2018 A-10s in Elaine Estes (35th), Emily Schaeffer (46th), and Emily Bracken (61st), SJU's #2, #4, and #5 finishers. SJU will look to fill the vacancy of top finisher Lindsey Oremus (25th) and fellow graduates Lucy Harmon (44th), Sara Rankin (81st), and Britton Gagliardi (90th), who finished as SJU's #3, #6, and #7 runners.

The 2019 A-10 Women’s Cross Country Championship will be held at the Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Va. on Saturday, November 2.

Saint Joseph’s opens the 2019 campaign on Saturday, September 7 at the Monmouth Kick-Off Invitational in Lincroft, N.J.
