ORLANDO, Fla. – The Saint Joseph’s men’s tennis team suffered a 6-1 defeat to Liberty at the USTA National Tennis Campus on Wednesday evening.

Playing at the site of the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship, the Hawks fell behind in doubles play, dropping all three flights, and were not able to recover.

Freshman Luis Janko earned a point for the Hawks, coming away with a 6-4, 6-7 (4), 10-8 supertiebreaker victory in the sixth singles flight.

Unfortunately for the Crimson and Gray, sophomore Tim Stierle and junior Peter Dewitt fell in tiebreakers of their own in the first and fifth flights, respectively, as the Flames earned the team result.
