CHANTILLY, Va. - The Saint Joseph's golf team is tied for ninth place after the opening two rounds of the Patriot Intercollegiate on Monday.

Playing at the par-72 Chantilly National Golf and Country Club (7,071 yards), the Hawks carded a two-round score of 299-307/606 to tie for ninth place in the 16-team field.

Individually, Michael O'Brien is tied for 29th at 72-76/148, while Ross Pilliod and Wills Montgomery are both tied at 35th with scores of 80-70/150 and 72-78/150, respectively. Reed Winkler enters Monday tied for 71st at 75-83/158 and Chuck Briggs is in 84th place at 81-79/160.

Florida Gulf Coast holds the team lead heading into the final round, while Appalachian State's Tripp Summerlin leads the indvidual leaderboard at 139.

The final round of the Patriot Intercollegiate begins at 8:30 a.m.
