Saint Joseph’s softball head coach Erin Brooks has announced the program’s schedule for the upcoming 2019 season. The Hawks have again put together a strong slate that includes four in-season tournaments that will help prepare SJU compete for a bid for the Atlantic 10 Championship at Massachusetts in May.

Opening the season at the Diamond 9 Citrus Blossom Classic at the ESPN Wide World of Sports on February 15, Saint Joseph's faces Providence and Stetson on the first day of play and follows with games versus NCAA Tournament participant Bethune-Cookman and Iowa the next day before capping play with a morning contest on February 17 against Troy.

The Hawks return to action two weeks later at the District Classic with contests versus Brown and Bucknell on March 1. A matchup with host Georgetown and Brown compose the second day's slate with a single game against reigning Ivy League champion Harvard set for March 3.

For the third-straight year SJU will travel to Clearwater, Florida as the Hawks will participate in the USF-Clearwater Parks and Recreation Showcase Tournament March 8-10 with games versus UCF, Indiana, Penn State, Toledo and Providence.

Rounding out the in-season tournaments for the Hawks are games at the JMU Invitational versus Rutgers (March 15, 17), Morgan State (March 16), Binghamton (March 17) and the host Dukes (March 15).

A single game versus rival Villanova on March 20 opens the home portion of Saint Joseph's schedule followed by its A-10 opener versus Rhode Island at the SJU Softball Complex March 23 and 24.

The Hawks wrap up March with a doubleheader at Delaware (March 27) followed by a three-game homestand versus George Washington (March 30-31).
