CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Saint Joseph's softball team wrapped up the Michelle Smith Spring Break Invitational with a 2-0 loss to North Florida on Sunday. The Hawks finished with a 3-2 record in their final in-season tournament.

In their third straight pitchers duel, the Hawks went into the final few innings tied with North Florida (17-13), 0-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, the Ospreys took advanyage of a wild pitch and fielding error by Saint Joseph's to plate two and take a 2-0 lead.

The Hawks would get a runner on in both the sixth and seventh, but unfortunately couldn't score.

Individually, Molly Kapala went 2-for-3, while Amanda Kulp, Stacey Mayer and Kaylyn Zierke each added a hit apiece.

In the circle, Ashley Ventura went 4.1 innings and allowed one earned run while striking out two in the loss. Ashley Stokes allowed three hits in 1.2 innings of relief.

The Hawks (6-14) return to action this Wednesday when they open the home portion of their schedule with a doubleheader versus Rider at 3 p.m.
