PHILADELPHIA – Junior Lucy Harmon scored in the 1500m to lead the Saint Joseph’s women’s track and field middle distance group at the inaugural Temple Owls Invitational, held at the Temple University Sports Complex on Friday afternoon. Select 800m and 1500m runners raced for the Crimson and Gray.

Harmon crossed the finish line of the 1500m in 4:40.35 to place eighth overall in a field of 25; the junior turned in the fifth-fastest performance by a collegiate racer and finished just 5.33 seconds behind the top collegiate finisher.

Sophomore Emily Bracken (4:43.24) and junior Lindsey Oremus (season-best 4:46.01) finished 10th and 13th, respectively, as the trio led seven total Hawks in the event.

Sophomore Maggie Maguire represented the Crimson and Gray in the 800m, crossing in 2:27.04 to place 16th in a field of 20.

Additional Hawks return to action tomorrow, April 14, at the Rider Invitational. Start time at the Rider Track and Field Complex in Lawrenceville, N.J. is set for 11:00 a.m.
