PHILADELPHIA – Under the direction of second-year head coach Melody O’Reilly, the Saint Joseph’s women’s track and field team is set to compete at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Track and Field Indoor Championships this weekend. The two-day meet will be held at George Mason’s Field House on Saturday, February 18 and Sunday, February 19 in Fairfax, Va.

Live results will be available via Flash Results.

Senior Courtney Foster is the only Hawk to have raced at the George Mason Field House, doing so at the Last Chance Meet on March 2, 2014 as the leadoff leg of the 4x400m relay.

The Hawks earned 49 points to place seventh at last season’s A-10 indoor meet, the program’s best indoor finish since 2006. Saint Joseph’s last five performances include a sixth-place finish (2016), eighth-place finish (2015), 11th-place finish (2014), 14th-place (2013), and 12th-place finish (2012); Saint Joseph’s has matched its program-best finish three times with third-place finishes in 1993, 2004, and, most recently, 2006.

Senior captain Sarah Regnault returns to defend her title in the 1000m, while junior jumper Claudine Andre enters her third indoor meet with a pair of silver high jump medals to her name.

Junior Steph Toland and sophomore Bridget McNierney will kick things off for SJU at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon as the duo races the 60m hurdles.

For a complete event rundown, please see below. The number in parenthesis next to SJU’s first listed competitor of each event reflects their current rank in conference standings, based on season-best performance. All competitors ranked in the top 10 of their event will be noted.
