NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Saint Joseph’s graduate student Carolina Boxer was tabbed as the Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Rookie of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Boxer helped set up the game’s first goal on Friday as the 10th-ranked Hawks went on to shut out Lock Haven, 4-0.  Two days later, she added another assist before scoring her first goal as a Hawk in SJU’s 7-1 win over Saint Louis on Sunday.

A native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Boxer has totaled five points in eight games off the bench in her first collegiate season.

Boxer and the Hawks will host Saint Francis (Pa.) on Sunday.  Game time is set for noon at Ellen Ryan Field.
