NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Earning her first collegiate victory in Saint Joseph's 1-0 win over Stony Brook, freshman goalkeeper Emily Cuccio was recognized for her performance as she was named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week, conference officials announced on Tuesday.

Making her Sweeney Field debut, Cuccio posted a clean sheet as she made three saves in the victory over the Sea Wolves. For the season, Cuccio has recorded a team-leading 0.45 goals-against-average and .917 save percentage, and made 11 saves.

The Hawks are back in action on Thursday when they host James Madison at 7 p.m.
