NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Helping the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team to a 1-0-1 record last week, senior Taylor Ryan and freshman Mackenzie Ehresman have been recognized as Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week and Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, respectively, conference officials announced on Monday.

A starting midfielder, Ryan assisted on the opening goal at James Madison and scored the game-winner off a penalty kick in a 2-1 win over the Dukes. Starting all four games this season, Ryan is currently tied for third on the team in points (three).

Making an immediate impact in her rookie campaign, Ehresman netted SJU's loan goal in a 1-1 draw at Rutgers on Thursday, and then helped the defense hold off a late charge by James Madison in Sunday's victory. On the season, Ehresman is currently tied for the team lead in goals (two) and points (two).

The Hawks (3-0-1) are back in action on Friday at Princeton at 7 p.m.
