PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team is readying for the upcoming season as the Hawks have started practice. Coming off a historic 2016 season that included the program's first ever Atlantic 10 regular season title, Saint Joseph's is looking to its incoming class of newcomers to help continue the team's success.

Joining SJU's 16 returning letterwinners are freshmen Morgan Bower, Sofia Filippo, Kasia Kwitnieski, Hannah Losavio, Lexi Miller, Stephanie Rapp and Gabby Tancredi.

Morgan Bower
: Forward
Hometown: Millville, Pa.
High School: Millville

A four-time First Team All-Star, she capped her high school career with 100 goals and 93 assists and earned First Team All-State honors as a senior.

Sofia Filippo
Hometown: Furlong, Pa.
High School: Archbishop Wood

A three-time All-Catholic First Team honoree, she was named to both the First Team All-Intelligencer and First Team Courier Times All-Golden Teams as a sophomore, junior and senior. Last season, she helped Archbishop Wood capture the 2017 Philadelphia Catholic League title and Pennsylvania District 12 championship.

Kasia Kwitnieski
Hometown: Auburn, Va.
High School: Briar Woods

Bouncing back from an a junior season in which she sat out due to injury, she was named to the First Team All-State, First Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference as a senior. 

Hannah Losavio
Hometown: Rumson, N.J.
High School: Rumson-Fair Haven

A four-year starter, she helped Rumson to New Jersey Group 2 State title as a freshman and the New Jersey Shore A title as a junior. Serving as team captain as a senior, she was recognized in Best of the Best by New Jersey Sports.

Lexi Miller
Hometown: Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
High School: Mainland Regional

This four year-letterwinner helped Mainland Regional to the Cape Atlantic League title as a junior and senior. As a senior garnered All-State, All-South Jersey Second Team and CAL First Team honors after leading Mainland Regional with a team-high 19 goals.

Stephanie Rapp
Hometown: Northport, N.Y.
High School: Northport

Guiding Northport to a 66-4-1 record and four league titles and two Suffolk County championships over her four years, she was named Suffolk County League II Player of the Year as a junior and senior. In 2016, she was named NSCAA All-Region and Suffolk County All-Academic along with earning MSG All-Metro First Team, MSG All-Long Island First Team, Newsday All-Long Island First Team and Newsday Top-50 Players on Long Island accolades.

Gabby Tancredi
Hometown: Hammonton, N.J.
High School: Hammonton

Led Hammonton in goals all four seasons and was named Player of the Year by the Hammonton Gazette and MVP by the Atlantic City Press as a senior.
