WEST LAKE ROAD PERRY, N.Y. – The Saint Joseph's men's lacrosse team has received votes in the USILA/Nike Division I Men's Lacrosse Coaches Preseason Poll, it was revealed on Monday afternoon.

Under the direction of sixth-year head coach Taylor Wray, the Hawks return 27 letterwinners, including six starters, and add 17 newcomers for the 2017 spring season. SJU went 12-4 last year, matching the program record for wins, and reached the Northeast Conference Championship title game for the second time in as many seasons.

Saint Joseph's will host 2016 NCAA runner-up Maryland, ranked second in the preseason poll, to open the 2017 season on Tuesday, February 14 at 4:00 p.m. on Sweeney Field.
