PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's Sofia Filippo and Lauren Dimes each scored as goal as the Hawks women's soccer team earned a 2-2 double-overtime draw with George Mason on Thursday evening at Sweeney Field.

Saint Joseph's (6-3-2, 1-1-1 Atlantic 10) opened the scoring just over five minutes in on Filippo's first collegiate goal. Off a corner kick by Paige Bergman, the SJU rookie headed the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-0 in favor of the Hawks at 5:05.

Taking a 1-0 lead into the second half, SJU quickly saw its lead disappear as George Mason's Amanda Nhek headed in a shot off a corner kick to make it 1-1 at 47:17.

Less than two minutes later, Dimes answered with a looping shot from the top of the box that slipped over the reach of the Patriots' goalkeeper to make it 2-1 at 49:01.

Saint Joseph's maintained its lead late, but again George Mason answered, this time Shannon Lee punced in the box on a rebound to tie the game at 2-2 in the 82nd minute.

From there, both teams would have opportunities in regulation and overtime, but couldn't tally a game winner.

For the game, SJU goalkeeper Grace Bendon made six saves as she moved to 6-3-2 overall.

The Hawks are back in action on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET at Saint Louis.
