The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team wrapped up its first weekend at home with a 2-2 double-overtime draw against Delaware on Sunday at Sweeney Field. The Hawks got goals from Gabrielle Vagnozzi and Hannah Racis as they moved to 2-0-1 to start the season.

Vagnozzi gave Saint Joseph's a 1-0 lead in the first half as she jumped on a rebound off a shot by Racis and found the back of the net at 12:23.

Taking a 1-0 edge into the second half, Racis extended her team's lead to 2-0 at 51:58 as she took a lead pass from Morgan Bower down the right side and put a shot to the far left post that beat the drawn-out goalkeeper.

The Blue Hens (0-2-1) rallied though to make it 2-1 at 61:57 as Olivia Schuck headed in a corner kick to pull her team within one.

A frantic final minute would ultimately lead to Delaware tying the game at 2-2 with :37 to go. Jillian Vassallo drilled a shot to the right side that the Hawks' goalkeeper Grace Bendon deflected and bounced off the crossbar. On the rebound, the ball dropped to a wide-open Gabby Johnson at the far end of the goal, allowing her to head in the tying tally.

In the extra frames, each teams had chances to win but couldn't find the back of the net.

For the game, Bendon made six saves to move to 2-0-1 on the year, while Racis upped her team lead in goals to three with Vagnozzi collecting her second goal on the season.

Saint Joseph's returns to action this Friday at Villanova at 4 p.m.
