Bob Lynch, a 1979 graduate of La Salle University, is in his fourteenth-year at the helm of the Saint Joseph's University golf program. During his tenure, he has led the Hawks back to prominence as one of the top golf programs in the Northeast. In his career as head coach, Lynch has compiled an overall record of 20 wins and 22 losses. The last dual meet competition for SJU was a 426-465 win over Lafayette at Llanerch Country Club during the 1992-93 season. Since that time, the Hawks have only competed in invitational events that do not include a won-loss record. In 1993-94 and again in 1994-95, he led the Hawk linksters to a third place finish in the Atlantic 10 Championships, the best-ever finish in the three day tournament. Also, for the third year in a row in 1994-95, he guided the team to a berth in theh Eastern Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships. A former standout golfer at Father Judge High School, Lynch is an avid golfer. The 46-year old works for Spikes, a company that specializes in trophies and plaques. The Richboro, Pa. resident also works as an official at high school and college basketball games. Lynch and his wife Monica are the proud parents of five children: Maureen, Bob, Dan, Brian Michael, and Jim.
