HARTFORD, Conn. - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team fell behind early to Hartford and never evened the match as the Hawks fell, 3-1, on the road Sunday afternoon.

Hartford's Michelle Babin opened the scoring as she took a pass from Caroline Dixon and found the back of the net from the leftside of the box at 24:08.

It remained a 1-0 game as the match entered the second half, but Hartford's Nicole Weil upped her team's lead to 2-0 as she collected a corner kick and scored from 10 yards out at 57:09.

Amelia Pereira scored on a breakway at 74:51 to make it a 3-0 advantage for Hartford.

Saint Joseph's freshman Mo Hawkins drilled a shot from 30 yards out that deflected off the crossbar and into the goal. However, the late tally came in the 88th minute, with the Hawks failing to score twice more in under three minutes time.

Saint Joseph's, which falls to 3-5-0 with the loss, travels to Princeton on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match.
