ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Saint Joseph's golf team jumped four spots to finish in eighth place at the season-opening Navy Fall Invitational. As a team, the Hawks shot 296 on Sunday and finished at 301-296/597, moving up from their 12th-place start Sunday morning.
Individually, juniors Jimmy Bea and Andrew Jaskel finished tied for 12th at 146. Bea shot two-under-par 69 on Sunday to go with a 77 on Saturday for 146, while Jaskel turned in a career-best performance of rounds of 72 and 74.
Delaware earned the team title finising at one-over-par 569, while Towson's John Duthie shot nine-under-par (133) to earn medalist honors.
The Hawks return to action September 20-21 at the Adams Cup in Newport, Rhode Island.
