BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The Atlantic 10 Conference held its annual Media Day on Thursday at the Barclays Center with Saint Joseph's picked to finish 13th in the league’s 2019-20 men’s basketball preseason poll. The poll was chosen by a panel of the league’s head coaches and select media members.
VCU is the favorite in the poll, picking up 19 first-place votes, followed by Davidson with eight first-place votes and Dayton with one first-place vote. Rhode Island is picked fourth, followed by St. Bonaventure and Richmond. Saint Louis is tabbed seventh, with Duquesne predicted in eighth place and George Mason in ninth. La Salle was picked 10th, then Massachusetts and George Washington, followed by the Hawks and Fordham.
For the seventh straight year, A-10 Live interviewed all 14 head coaches. The show, which was produced on-site and aired on ESPN+, was hosted by long-time college basketball reporter and analyst Andy Katz for the third straight year. Saint Joseph's head coach Billy Lange joined Katz for the 1:45 p.m. session.

Atlantic 10 play begins on January 2, with the season culminating at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championship. The league’s premier event will begin March 11, and the league will crown its 2020 champion on March 15, Selection Sunday.
