The Saint Joseph’s men’s basketball team has announced its 2019-20 schedule. The Hawks will be featured 12 times on national television across three media partners: ESPN, CBS Sports Network, and NBCSN.

Under the guidance of first-year head coach Billy Lange, Saint Joseph’s opens the season at home versus Bradley on November 5. The Hawks follow with three-consecutive road games as they visit Old Dominion (Nov. 10), continue on to UConn for a non-bracketed Charleston Classic matchup with the Huskies on November 13 and move on to a November 16 contest at Loyola Chicago.

Saint Joseph’s will face Florida in the opening round of the 12th Annual Charleston Classic on November 21 at the at TD Arena in Charleston, South Carolina, and will take on either Miami (Fla.) or Missouri State in the second round on November 22. The Hawks will close out play in the tournament on November 24, with broadcasts for the tournament on the ESPN family of networks.

Returning to Hawk Hill for three in a row, SJU hosts Saint Francis (Pa.) on November 30 and Lafayette on December 3 before opening Big 5 play with an ESPN2 broadcast against Villanova on December 7.

The Hawks head to rival Temple on December 10 before capping the calendar year at home against William & Mary on December 19.

The new year starts out with Saint Joseph’s traveling to Richmond for its A-10 opener on January 2, followed by home matchups versus Dayton (Jan. 5) and Duquesne (Jan. 8) and a road meeting at Davidson on NBCSN on January 11.

Saint Joseph’s hosts Rhode Island (Jan. 15) and travels to Penn (Jan. 18) before taking on VCU at Hagan Arena on January 21 on the CBS Sports Network. The Hawks round out the month with road contests at George Washington (Jan. 25) and Massachusetts (Jan. 29) before playing in back-to-back NBCSN-televised games versus Saint Louis (Feb. 1) and at La Salle (Feb. 8).

The Hawks face St. Bonaventure in the first of two meetings on February 11 and follow with games on the CBS Sports Network at Rhode Island (Feb. 15) and versus Davidson (Feb. 18). Saint Joseph’s remains on the road for its next two games as it heads to George Mason (Feb. 22) and Saint Louis (Feb. 26) with the contests being broadcast on NBCSN and CBS Sports Network, respectively.

Saint Joseph’s caps its schedule with a home game against Fordham (Feb. 29) and road trip to St. Bonaventure (Mar. 4) before returning to Hagan Arena to host La Salle (Mar. 7) in the regular season finale.

For the second-consecutive season, the Barclays Center will host the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championship, which runs from March 11 through the title game on March 15. Eleven games of the 2020 A-10 Championship will be broadcast nationally with the opening round games on March 11 carried digitally on ESPN+, the leading direct-to-consumer sports streaming service. NBCSN will carry the second round and the quarterfinals, March 12 and 13, and CBS Sports Network will air the semifinal games on March 14. CBS Television Network will broadcast the March 15 final at 1:00 pm ET for the 11th straight year as part of the network’s overall Selection Sunday coverage. The championship will again be played at the iconic Brooklyn, N.Y., arena for the sixth time.

This season marks the seventh year of the long-term television agreement between the A-10 and ESPN, CBS Sports Network, and NBCSN. Atlantic 10 institutions reside in states that contain 33.3 million television households, approximately 30 percent of the total national media market. There are nine A-10 institutions in or adjacent to the top 25 media markets in the country.
