PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph's sophomore goalkeeper Joseph Boehm has been selected the Philadelphia Soccer Six Defender of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday afternoon. The honor marks the first of Boehm's career after earning a pair of Rookie of the Week accolades from the organization last fall.

Despite playing with a 10-man offense and defense for nearly two-thirds of the match, Boehm made 12 saves in SJU's 2-1, season-opening loss to Saint Peter's on Friday evening. Boehm has only made more saves once in his career, with 13 at Duquesne last year.

Boehm and the Hawks remain home to host Fairfield on Wednesday, September 4 at 7:00 p.m. on Sweeney Field.
