The Saint Joseph's women's rowing team closed out 2018-19 tied for fifth place at the Atlantic 10 Championships at Cooper River.

Senior Cassie Francis was named to the All-Conference First Team while junior Shane Devine was an All-A-10 Second Team honoree.

"It was a solid finish, matching last year's. We finally had great conditions for racing. The Varsity 8 had a great heat but showed its youth a bit in the final. The Second Varsity 8 had a great final sprinting through Fordham," said head coach Gerry Quinlan. “The team went through a lot this year and we didn’t let it affect us. We have great leadership and although we have seven seniors- we are very young at the top. We will be back this Fall with a vengeance.“

SJU's seniors missed Commencement to compete with the team. The Hawks' Second Varsity 8 finished fourth while the Varsity 8 was sixth. The Third Varsity 8 placed fourth whlie the Varsity 4 was fifth.
