The Saint Joseph’s women’s rowing team returns to action at the 81st annual Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11, on the Schuylkill River.
Live streaming of the entire regatta will be provided at DadVail.org, beginning on Friday at 7 a.m. and continuing through the conclusion of racing on Saturday.
SJU’s Third Varsity 8 will be seeking its third consecutive Dad Vail medal as the Hawks have earned silver medals for the past two years.
“It’s been an odd year in that this will be the first time we will race Temple, La Salle and Drexel. More importantly, we will see UMass for the first time as well and that will be a great speed check before A10s,” said head coach Gerry Quinlan. "We always look forward to Dad Vail. We are finishing up final exams, so it has been a long week for us, but we are looking forward to finishing up the school year and competing this weekend."
