The Saint Joseph's men's rowing team will compete in two different events on the weekend, starting with the Bergen Cup on Saturday on the Schuylkill River, and finishing with a trip to Holy Cross on Sunday.

The Hawks are the two-time defending Bergen Cup champions, having won the city title in the Varsity 8 for the past two seasons. Competition begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday with the Hawks' first race taking place at 10:50 a.m.

“We have a busy final weekend of racing before we turn our focus to the Dad Vails. We feel that we have made some improvements from our outing at the Kerr Cup but we know our opponents are working just as hard to find speed. Competing in the Bergen Cup and then hopping right on the bus for racing on Sunday at Holy Cross is going to be a tough test,” said head coach Mike Irwin.

On Sunday, SJU will compete against Holy Cross, Wesleyan, Trinity and Connecticut College in Worcester, Mass.
