PHILADELPHIA – Under the direction of fourth-year head coach Melody O’Reilly, the Saint Joseph’s women’s track and field team will be represented in the 400m, 1000m, mile, 5000m, and all three relays at the 2019 ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, slated for this Friday, March 1 through Sunday, March 3. The three-day meet will be held at Boston University’s Track and Tennis Center in Boston, Mass. and will serve as the final indoor meet of SJU's 2019 track and field season.

Senior captain Lindsey Oremus will kick things off for SJU at 3:35 p.m. on Saturday afternoon with the mile.

400m: Caroline Duffy (16th)
Trials: Saturday at 4:15 PM
Finals: Sunday at 12:25 PM

Notes: Duffy is coming off of a fourth-place, scoring performance at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships... The junior went sub-56.00 for 400m twice on the weekend, including a 55.68 in the preliminaries, for the first times in her indoor career, and that 400m PR of 55.24 (converted to 54.52) stands as her seed time entering this weekend... Duffy will aim to go sub-55.00 on Saturday... The junior placed 17th at the 2018 ECAC Outdoor Championships and 13th at the 2018 ECAC Indoor Championships... The school record in the 400m is 54.96.

1000m: Emily Bracken (108th)
Trials: Saturday at 5:05 PM
Finals: Sunday at 1:10 PM

Notes: Bracken is coming off of a strong showing in the 1000m with a time of 2:58.16, before conversion, at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships... This will be Bracken's first ECAC appearance in the 1000m... The school record in the 1000m is 2:49.13.

Mile: Lindsey Oremus (98th)
Trials: Saturday at 3:35 PM
Finals: Sunday at 12:10 PM

Notes: Oremus ran the best mile of her collegiate career in her most recent attempt, going for 4:56.77 at the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational up at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in mid-February... Oremus has raced on two ECAC relays, but this will be her first appearance in an individual event... The school record in the mile is 4:44.61.

5000m: Elaine Estes (168th)
Sections: Saturday at 5:40 PM

Notes: Estes ran the best 5000m of her collegiate career at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend, crossing in 17:18.15, before conversion... This will be Estes' first appearance at the ECAC level... The school record in the 5000m is 16:42.57.

Distance Medley Relay (35th): TBD from Lucy Harmon, Caroline Duffy, Emily Bracken, Lindsey Oremus, Emily Schaeffer, Bridget McNierney, Abigail Silva, and Gabriella Bamford
Sections: Sunday at 11:00 AM

Notes: Bracken, Duffy, Silva, and Oremus put together SJU's fastest DMR of the season (12:01.20) at the Penn State National Invitational in late January... The school record in the DMR is 11:42.58.

4x800m Relay (47th): TBD from Monica Higgins, Abigail Silva, Claire Podles, Sara Rankin, Gabriella Bamford, Emily Bracken, Emily Schaeffer, Lucy Harmon
Trials: Saturday evening, following ECAC 5000m sections (which begin at 5:40 PM)
Finals: Sunday afternoon, following IC4A DMR final (approx. 2:30 PM)

Notes: Bracken, Silva, Rankin, and Higgins put together SJU's fastest 4x8 of the season (9:26.68, before conversion) last time out at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships... The school record in the 4x8 is 9:00.79, and Bracken ran that leadoff leg.

4x400m Relay (39th): TBD from Karley Hess, Tamar Bourdeau, Bridget McNierney, Kelly Liebl, Sophia Recchilungo, Caroline Duffy
Trials: Saturday evening, following ECAC 4x800m relay trials, after 5:40 PM
Finals: Sunday afternoon, following IC4A 4x800m finals (approx. 2:50 PM)

Notes: Bourdeau (second leg), Hess (third leg), and McNierney (anchor) put together SJU's fastest DMR of the season (3:53.79) at the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational in the middle of this month... They'll look for a strong replacement due to the loss of first leg Nathaniela Bourdeau... The school record in the 4x4 is 3:47.87, and Liebl ran that leadoff leg.
