THE HAWKS
• Saint Joseph’s had its two-game winning streak snapped with the 85-60 loss to George Mason. Charlie Brown and Lamarr Kimble had 17 points apiece, but GMU used a 19-0 run in the final 10 minutes of the second half to pull away for the win
• Saint Joseph’s continues to rank second in the nation in turnovers per game, with an average of 9.2. Jared Bynum tops the conference and ranks 40th in the nation in assist/turnover ratio with 2.94 per game
Charlie Brown is the leading scorer in the Atlantic 10, averaging 20.3 ppg
• This is the last of four consecutive games in Philadelphia for the Hawks
Phil Martelli owns a 212-165 record in 23 seasons of Atlantic 10 play, which ranks second all-time and first among active coaches for conference wins

LAST TIME VS. GEORGE WASHINGTON
• Saint Joseph's fell short in its comeback attempt against George Washington, dropping a 70-64 decision In the Atlantic 10 opener for both teams at the Smith Center last year.
• Saint Joseph's never led in the game but fought back from a 15-point second-half deficit, holding GW scoreless for three minutes and closing to within 63-58 with 2:02 to play on three free throws by Shavar Newkirk. The Hawks again came within six, 66-60, with 1:22 left but GW ran off four straight points to put the game out of reach

NO TIME TO REST
• The Hawks will be going non-stop for the next few weeks, as they are in the midst of a stretch of 18 straight days of either games or practice
• This stretch began on Jan. 1 and will continue through the game at Saint Louis on Jan. 18, giving SJU six games in the 18 days
• It’s a big change from December where the Hawks had five games in the entire month; that included a 2-week break in between games (Dec. 8 and Dec. 22) and a week break for Christmas
• SJU’s players are on semester break right now with classes resuming on Jan. 14

HANDS OFF
• As they have done the past few seasons, the Hawks have limited their fouls and rank fourth in the nation with fewest fouls (187)
• SJU ranks ninth in fouls per game with 14.4

IRON MEN
• Backcourt mates Lamarr Kimble and Jared Bynum are already racking up the minutes
• Kimble is averaging 35.9 to rank third in the A-10 and 35th in the NCAA stats, while Bynum is 10th in the A-10 at 34.5 minutes per game

LOOKING AHEAD
• The Hawks go on the road for two straight, at St. Bonaventure on Jan. 9 and at Duquesne on Jan. 12
