ABOUT THE HAWKS
• Saint Joseph’s reached the A-10 Semifinals for the 17th time with the 68-49 win over George Mason. Nick Robinson had 14 points and nine rebounds and Shavar Newkirk scored 13 points to lead four Hawks in double figures. James Demery had 12 off the bench and Taylor Funk had his first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds
• Saint Joseph’s has won four in a row, and seven of its last eight; it is the Hawks’ longest winning streak of the year
• Nine of SJU’s 15 losses have come by four points or less, a number which appears to be the most in the nation
• SJU has earned its highest seed (4) since it won the 2016 A-10 Championship. The Hawks also captured the 2014 A-10 title as the fourth seed
• Seniors Shavar Newkirk (2nd Team) and James Demery (3rd Team) earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference recognition for the first time

LAST TIME OUT
• After a low-scoring and poor shooting first half, Saint Joseph’s hit 13-of-26 from the field and 6-of-10 from three in the second half, to pull away from George Mason and earn the 68-49 win in the quarterfinals
• Nick Robinson had 14 points and nine rebounds, Shavar Newkirk scored 13 and James Demery added 12. Taylor Funk had his first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 5-of-9 from the field
• The Hawks helped seal the win by making 10-of-12 free throws in the second half, while going 8-for-8 in the final two minutes

HAWKS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP
• Phil Martelli (430-308 career record) owns an all-time record of 65-45 in March with SJU winning the A-10 titles in 2014 and 2016
• The Hawks are making their 17th semifinal appearance
• Martelli has guided SJU to a 29-8 record in the Atlantic 10 Championship, with three tournament titles (1997, 2014, 2016). He owns a 17-5 record in the Hawks’ first game of the A-10 Championship and is 6-3 in the semifinals
• SJU is seeking its eighth appearance in the conference title game

• In the past six games, Nick Robinson is averaging 13.8 points and 7.4 rebounds while shooting 56.8% (29-51) from the field, 9-of-13 from three and 16-of-18 from the line
• He’s scored double figures in six straight games, in which SJU owns a 5-1 record
