• The Hawks posted their first A-10 win of the year by defeating VCU, 87-81, in overtime on Wednesday night. Five Hawks scored in double figures led by freshman Taylor Funk, who scored 19. Senior James Demery became the newest member of SJU’s 1,000-point club and finished with 13 points
• The win over VCU marked the first time this year that the Hawks had five players score double figures
• SJU leads the nation in fewest turnovers (125) and is fourth in turnovers per game (9.6)
• Freshman Taylor Funk tops the Atlantic 10 in three-point field goals made per game (3.1) and ranks 32nd in the nation
• James Demery has scored in double figures in all 13 games and is averaging a career-high 16.9 points per game
